DESIGN AND CREATE A WEBSITE:
Students are requested to read the Terms and Conditions as well as this Criteria for Entry.
1. The content of the website must be the original works of the entrant. By entering the entrant confirms that they have not contravened any copyright conditions and that all items included within their entry is their own original work.
2. All entries must relate to a not-for-profit group, organization or subject.
3. Advertising of any type cannot be included within any entry. Any entry which includes advertising of any type will be automatically excluded.
4. Information, graphics or content of any type that may cause offence to others cannot be included. Any entry which includes content that may be deemed as possibly offensive will be automatically excluded.
5. Suggested content is a website about:
a) the study methods you are using for your course (but don't give away any answers to Assignments or personal details)
b) the subject you are studying
c) the area in which you live, or another area of the UK
d) a particular country
e) a national festival
f) a hobby you have
The above are only suggestions.
6. It is important to note that the website must NOT contain photographs of individuals. It is also important to note that personal data must NOT be included within the website. Entries which include photographs of individuals or personal data of individuals will be automatically excluded. As we will be displaying the winning entry, and other entries, on the Internet we cannot display websites that contain photographs of individuals or personal data of individuals for safety and security reasons.
7. The website should contain a maximum of FIVE PAGES. The maximum size of the zipped file should be 2 MB. Websites that have more than FIVE PAGES, or exceed the zipped file size limit of 2 MB, will be automatically excluded. The home/default page in your website must be named index.html or index.htm. You must also include the SkillsTrain logo with a link to http://www.skillstrainuk.com on the top of your home page. You can download the SkillsTrain logo by clicking here.
8. Links within the website should be tested by the entrant before submitting their entry. The website must contain a minimum of THREE LINKS TO EXTERNAL WEBSITES.
9. Server-side technology, such as PHP and ASP, cannot be used.
10. All entries must be received not later than 12 midnight on 17 December 2007. Entries will be judged by the SkillsTrain Web Team and the winning entry will be announced on the Student World website on 19 December 2007. The winning entries, as well as many other entries, will be displayed within a SkillsTrain domain.
